While that phrase usually speaks to human feelings, in this lovely picture book, the sentiment takes on new meaning as a house reveals its own heart to the reader. By turns, the house feels joy, tenderness and sorrow as its first family moves in, grows and moves away. Tinicum Arts Festival 2022
Colleen Rowan Kosinski will be signing copies of A Home Again, A Promise Stitched in Time, and Lilla’s Sunflowers Join us on July 9th and 10th to once again gather with friends and neighbors to enjoy the works of over 180 regional artists in the centerpiece Art Barn. Delight in the creations of over 140 artists and craft artisans displayed under the trees. Discover treasures at the White Elephant Tent. Choose from literally thousands of volumes at the Book Wagon. Place a bid at the Silent Auction. Enjoy the outstanding live musical entertainment while savoring a fresh-squeezed lemonade, a tasty sandwich or a home-baked dessert in the picnic grove. Special activities for children and summer fun for everyone. The Tinicum Arts Festival is the primary fundraiser for the non-profit Tinicum Civic Association. The Festival is planned and run entirely by volunteers. Proceeds are used to maintain the 1832 Stover Mill in Erwinna and to benefit over 30 other non-profit organizations that serve Tinicum Township.

3rd Annual Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival 2018Join Colleen Rowan Kosinski at the Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival which will be held Saturday, June 16th, 2018 in Easton, MD. This year’s festival will move to the Waterfowl Building (the former armory) on Harrison St. They will be holding the festival in conjunction with Talbot County’s Juneteenth Celebration. 2018 has been declared the official 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederick Douglass, born in Talbot County, and this year’s event will honor him. They will be hosting over 30 children’s book authors and illustrators for the third annual event. Visitors will be able to meet some of their favorite authors and purchase signed books at a discount, courtesy of Eventful Giving and our generous sponsors. Chesapeake Children’s Book FestivalColleen will be signing Lilla’s Sunflowers at this year’s 2nd Annual Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival. More than 30 prominent authors and illustrators will participate in the second annual Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival on Saturday, June 17. The festival will be held at the Talbot County Free Library in Easton, Maryland, from 10 am until 3 pm. The festival is a free public, rain-or-shine event that celebrates children, community, and literacy. “We live in a community that loves books, children and our library. The Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival brings all three together throughout a fun-filled day”, said Scotti Oliver, assistant director of the Talbot County Free Library. Attendees can meet their favorite author or illustrator, listen to their readings as they bring their characters to life, buy an autographed book, or discuss the inspiration behind their writings. From heroes to zebras, to witches and mice, and every imaginable character in between, children from pre-school ages to teens will delight in written stories that highlight moments of curosity, exploration, and history. The fun-filled schedule for the day offers music, hands-on-crafts and make-a-book, light refreshments, book sales, and games, prizes and art exhibits. |
