Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival
Colleen will be signing Lilla's Sunflowers at this year's 2nd Annual Chesapeake Children's Book Festival.
More than 30 prominent authors and illustrators will participate in the second annual Chesapeake Children's Book Festival on Saturday, June 17. The festival will be held at the Talbot County Free Library in Easton, Maryland, from 10 am until 3 pm.
The festival is a free public, rain-or-shine event that celebrates children, community, and literacy. "We live in a community that loves books, children and our library. The Chesapeake Children's Book Festival brings all three together throughout a fun-filled day", said Scotti Oliver, assistant director of the Talbot County Free Library. Attendees can meet their favorite author or illustrator, listen to their readings as they bring their characters to life, buy an autographed book, or discuss the inspiration behind their writings.
From heroes to zebras, to witches and mice, and every imaginable character in between, children from pre-school ages to teens will delight in written stories that highlight moments of curosity, exploration, and history. The fun-filled schedule for the day offers music, hands-on-crafts and make-a-book, light refreshments, book sales, and games, prizes and art exhibits.
